Ken's easy-to-learn Chinese energy exercises are uplifting, accessible, and evidence-based—and designed to enhance your immune system, awaken insight, and stimulate healing and wholeness. You will also explore the peace of stillness with deeply restful yoga nidra practices following each qigong session. Yoga nidra has been shown to effectively treat insomnia, anxiety, and depression.

Ken Nelson, PhD, is dedicated to helping people heal, grow, and awaken with mind-body practices and the wisdom traditions. He teaches gentle yoga, qigong, and meditation. Ken is a long-time Kripalu faculty member, and a former Fulbright lecturer and Kripalu Scholar-in-Residence. He has offered workshops worldwide since 1975. His CD, Yin Yoga, and DVD Qigong & Taiji for Healing & Vitality are Kripalu best sellers. Ken is coauthor with David Ronka, Lesli Lang, Jim White, and Liz Korabek-Emerson of their best-selling book, Designing & Leading Life-Changing Workshops: Creating the Conditions for Transformation in Your Groups, Trainings, and Retreats.
John Haggerty has been studying and teaching East Asian martial and energetic disciplines for thirty years. He undertook an intensive study of qigong and Yang style Taijiquan in the tradition of Yang Cheng-fu twenty years ago, and has been teaching the Yang long form, pushing hands, and weapon sets, as well as several qigong sets, for about fifteen years. He also teaches Isshin ryu karate and Chinese hard style martial arts, and has studied widely among other traditional East Asian disciplines and philosophies. John is devoted to sharing the strength and wellness of body, mind, and spirit that traditional internal practices can bring to the sincere student.
